Your MBTI Personality

Client: Revenue Boost (Consulting Firm), Spring 2024

An in-depth team analysis and coaching process using the MBTI framework to help a startup restructure its leadership roles based on individual strengths and personality dynamics.

Overview

Revenue Boost, a lead generation startup, commissioned me to design and deliver a tailored MBTI-based training and evaluation process to support a planned internal restructuring. The objective was to help the executive team better understand each member’s strengths, leadership potential, and optimal team role based on psychological type theory. The initiative aimed to resolve growing tensions around misaligned responsibilities and untapped talents within the core team.

Objectives

1. Introduce the MBTI framework as a tool for understanding team dynamics and role alignment

2. Support leadership self-awareness and inter-personal understanding across the core management team

3. Identify character-based mismatches between individuals and their current roles

4. Provide strategic recommendations to optimize internal team structure and performance

Structure & Delivery

The program consisted of:

  • A 2.5-hour live online workshop for six executive team members (CEO, COO, CFO, CTO, CMO, HR Manager), joining from three different countries

  • A clear, accessible presentation introducing the MBTI framework and its relevance in a startup environment

  • Six individual 60-minute coaching sessions to explore test results, personal strengths, and challenges in depth

  • A final strategic analysis presented to the CEO and COO

Outcomes & Impact

By the end of the process, each leader had a better understanding of their own personality dynamics and how they interacted with others. The CEO and COO were able to make informed decisions about redistributing responsibilities across the leadership team. Participants reported increased clarity, reduced friction in collaboration, and a stronger sense of mutual understanding. The project successfully supported a more functional and psychologically aligned team structure.
